Oscos-eo Destinations
Knife workshop "Pedro Conde".
Taramundi, located in the west of Asturias, in the heart of the Oscos-Eo and Terras de Burón biosphere reserve, is especially known for the craftsmanship of the so-called ferreiros, who in small workshops, mostly individual, make knives and penknives by hand.
In the past, the blades were made of carbon steel and the handles were usually made of boxwood or heather. Nowadays, most of the blades are made of stainless steel and other woods, mainly tropical, are used.
Pedro Conde's craft workshop is located in Vega de Llan, 500m. from the capital of the council of Taramundi.
Having worked for five years in another workshop, Pedro Conde opened his own workshop in 2001 and has been handcrafting knives of various models and sizes, both in stainless steel and carbon steel, and handles of various woods.
The work philosophy is to maintain a handcrafted workshop in order to offer a personalised and exclusive service to each customer.
Pedro Conde offers his services to all types of customers (companies, shops, catering, individuals, ...) to provide the best service and quality in each piece.
