Route with Art
This pioneering project seeks to enrich Los Oscos through an artistic structuring of the territory, connecting artists, visitors, nature and tradition. The proposal highlights the beauty, culture and local heritage through a 10 km circular route that begins and ends in Santa Eulalia de Oscos.
The route runs through the valley of the river Agüeira, where the walker not only discovers works of art integrated into the landscape, but also places of ethnographic interest, such as the Museo Casa Natal del Marqués de Sargadelos in Ferreirela de Baxo, or rural villages such as As Barreiras and Ferreira. The latter has a recreational area that in summer is transformed into a river beach, ideal for resting or renting canoes.
The route takes place under the shade of leafy autochthonous forests, made up of birch, hazel, oak, maple and centenary chestnut trees, creating an environment of great beauty and serenity. During the summer of 2024, more than 16 artistic works have been installed along 6 km of the route, from Santa Eulalia to Ferreira, enriching the experience with plastic, sculptural and visual interventions.
You have the option to do an abbreviated version of 6 km.
