Circular route from Santa Eufemia through native forests, charming villages and rural landscapes full of history. Highlights include the traditional architec...

The route starts in Santa Eufemia, shortly after passing the Ecomuseo del Pan in the direction of Pacios. From there, we take a small path through an autochthonous forest with oak, birch, holly and chestnut trees. The route runs next to a traditional stone enclosure in the area: a quartzite wall crowned by stones placed vertically.

After a descent, cross the river over a wooden footbridge and continue through meadows and woods until you reach Vilarello. This quiet village preserves a magnificent traditional stone architecture, a reflection of a more active agricultural and livestock farming past. Its houses evoke times of greater hustle and bustle, and today they invite silence and contemplation.

We continue through the mountain until we join the Forest Route and the Agüeira Green Path in the oak grove of Pacios. After crossing it, we come out onto the Pacios-Santa Eufemia road and turn right to walk the last stretch back to the starting point. Before finishing, we recommend a visit to the Bread Ecomuseum, where the complete bread-making process is explained, from sowing to baking in a traditional oven.
