This circular route starts next to the Casa de Cultura in Santa Eulalia de Oscos and combines nature and ethnographic heritage in a route of great scenic value. The route heads towards Millarado, crossing a wooded area with oak, birch and pine trees, until it reaches a livestock farm.

After passing As Poceiras, it descends towards the river Barcia, which is crossed over a bridge and then ascends to Vega del Carro, where the chapel of Nuestra Señora del Carmen is located, built in stone, wood and slate, and guarded by a centenary yew tree. The path continues between mountains and rivers until it reaches the "forcón", the confluence of the rivers Villanueva and Barcia, an emblematic point that gives its name to the route.

In the final stretch, the route enters forests of alder, ash, willow and hazelnut trees, until it reaches A Valía, a town of great ethnographic value and the birthplace of the Lombardía family, well-known watchmakers and inventors. After passing through San Julián and Caraduxe, you reach Ferreirela de Riba and then Ferreirela de Baxo, where you can visit the Museum of the Marquis of Sargadelos' Birthplace, a faithful recreation of traditional housing and rural life in the region. In a few minutes you return to the starting point.
