Discover a circular route from Santa Eulalia de Oscos through charming villages, old mining landscapes and lush native forests. Enjoy the legacy of the Marqu...

This route starts in the square of Santa Eulalia de Oscos and descends towards the lower part of the village, where a beautiful path surrounded by lush native forest begins. The path leads us to Ferreirela de Baxo, a charming village where it is worth stopping to visit the Casa Natal del Marqués de Sargadelos Museum, a key figure in the history of Galician ceramics.

The route continues towards the valley, descending to the banks of the river Agüeira, which accompanies the walker to its confluence with the river Vilanova, in the area of As Barreiras. After reaching Ferreira, a walk through the village leads us to cross a picturesque stone bridge that gives access to a recreational area, perfect for resting or enjoying water activities in the middle of nature.

A gentle ascent leads us through As Talladas to the Carmina mine, last exploited in the 1950s and 1960s, from which minerals such as silver, zinc and lead were extracted. Next to the point where the old mining cable car used to be, we start our way back along a path halfway up the slope, which offers panoramic views of the valley.

The route crosses the Vilanova river over a wooden bridge, plunging into a forest where alders, chestnut and oak trees accompany the traveller. Finally, after passing through Caraduxe and Ferreirela de Riba, we return to the starting point, completing a unique experience through the natural and historical heart of the Oscos.
