Mazonovo Mills Museum

Mazonovo Mills Museum

The largest museum of windmills in Spain

The Museo de Los Molinos, in Mazonovo (Taramundi, Asturias), is a museum dedicated to cereal mills, water mills and even hand mills. Some of these mills are distributed in three buildings and others outside along the water supply canal. There is also a power station that supplies light to the whole complex. This power station was the first power station that supplied Taramundi, and the main mill in the region.

The museum displays a large collection of mills along its route, showing the evolution and technological advances that these have undergone over time. There are a total of 19 mills, of which 8 are manual, 6 are hydraulic, 3 are specific for children and 2 are special, as well as reproductions of mills from different eras and cultures.
