Close to the beautiful port of Figueras and the mouth of the Eo estuary is the beach of Arnao, located in a hollow and protected from the winds and the attacks of the Cantabrian Sea. Its location means that it is very sheltered from the winds and the power of the tides of the Bay of Biscay. It is 400 metres long at low tide, but at high tide there is hardly any sand left uncovered.
