Knife workshop

Knife workshop "M. Lombardy".

A craft workshop where the famous M.Lombardy knives have been made for more than 100 years.

In the council of Taramundi is Esquíos, a small village which, as well as housing a small ethnographic museum and rural accommodation, also has an artisan workshop where the famous M.Lombardía penknives have been made for over 100 years.

M.Lombardy knives are unique and easily recognisable by their golden brass handles, although other models of knives are also made, as well as different models of knives.

The brass hilt knife was at its peak in the late 1800's and practically disappeared during the war because the metal was no longer available.

Nowadays M. Lombardy, besides working this model in brass, also manufactures it with a silver hilt.
